Filter Presses

TTX Environmental filter presses are built to last and provide dependable service.

A corrosion resistant, robust design handles the toughest liquid/solid separation jobs under the most difficult conditions, requiring minimal operator oversight and maintenance.
The purpose of this filter press is to dewater sludge from the clarifier to minimize its volume (thereby reducing disposal cost) and, in some cases, reduce liquid content for acceptance at the disposal site.

Major Components

Frame - Welded steel construction with removable side rails, fixed head leg end and tail leg end with integral control panel and hydraulic cabinet. Leg extensions for drum sludge removal.

Closure - Hydraulic ram fixed at tail end and movable follower. Manual hand hydraulic  pump with gauges and valves.

Plates - 470 mm, 630mm, 800mm 1000mm

Filter Cloths - Many options for different applications

Blowdown Manifold - PVC, CPVC and SS pipe connections and valves with separate air regulator-mounted on filtrate discharge.

Depending on the water retention tendencies of the solids, concentration of the final filter cake may range from 20 percent to more than 40 percent solids. To maximize solids content and aid cake removal, the air blowdown manifold purges chambers of excess filtrate and partially dries the cake.

Presses come equipped with manual or air-driven hydraulic closure mechanisms, and are available in both custom and engineered sizes. Standard presses ranging from 1.0 to 20.0 cu. ft. sludge capacity are maintained in stock to minimize delivery times. Plates are easy to maintain. A filter press from TTX Environmental will reliably separate and dewater waste sludge from your industrial processes.
